ABOUT VITRUV
VITRUV is an extraordinary project with outstanding musicians.
It doesn´t matter if they appear plugged or unplugged, every concert is an unique musical happening.
Energetic, powerful live-performances and a large variety of style and sound make the band an antithesis to the short-lived over-commercialized one way music-business of today.
Their songs - touchy, catchy, harmonic, poetic so as powerful and dynamic - prove their musical skills.

Biography VITRUV
VITRUV was founded back in 2007, when singer/songwriter Martin Writzmann, keyboarder Stefan Vock and drummer Christian Schmid were asked to support the NGO “Schwarz-Weiß” in a concert. After this superb show they decided to form a band together with various talented and spirited musicians coming from all musical directions. Just one year later they signed their first record contract with the Austrian producer Wolfgang Czeland, who wanted to produce an album with their material. Supported by the “Austrian Musicfonds” they recorded the album “Still inside” which was released in 2009. Although the album and it´s songs were praised as an outstanding product it failed to be broadcasted by the Austrian radio. So the sales of the album were poor. As a result the band and Wolfgang Czeland decided to quit the contract in early 2010.
After the victory in one of Austria´s biggest music-contests the band recorded two songs and produced them on their own. These two songs were released digitally on their own “Arts and Crafts Records” label and reached the top100 of Austria´s itunes-charts in November 2010.
